APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER STENCILS

STEP 1 - Aligning The Stencil: Align stencils, overlap between double numbers. Remember to position the insides of the 0, 4, 6, 8 or 9 within stencil to complete the number.

STEP 2 - Block Out The T-shirt: Place the paper stencil strips on the outside edges of the aligned number to ensure that the exposed area of the T-shirt is completely blocked out.

STEP 3 - Screen Print The Stencil: Use flood stroke to apply a thin film of ink on open area of screen. Lay screen down onto stencil and garment. Pull squeegee once to print.

STEP 4 - Remove The Stencil: Lift screen to check printed number, then peel the paper stencil from the screen and discard. Don't forget to remove the centres of 0, 4, 6, 8, or 9.

STEP 5 - 2 OR 3 COLOR NUMBERS: Begin by using base and follow previous steps. Once printed, flash or partially cure the ink. Position regular number over the printed number on garment. Follow previous steps. Repeat with insert for three color number.

OUTLINE NUMBERS: Position the base number then centre the cut out portion of the regular number inside of the base. This will leave an outline of about 3/16" to 1/4" wide. Follow previous steps for printing with paper stencils.

Hot Split / Puff Transfers: These are very popular heat transfers. After transferring they have a very soft hand and they resemble a soft screen print. The term Hot Split means that the release paper is peeled away hot. This will split the ink film leaving some on the transfer paper and the rest on the fabric.

Hot Peel Transfers: Hot peel transfers are designed to have a very soft hand and are very opaque. They are designed not to split but rather to release the entire ink film when peeled warm or hot. The fact that they release most of the ink film greatly increases the opacity (see 900 Series).

Glitter / High Gloss Transfers: These transfers are cold peel and are usually printed with glitter and/or metallic inks. These transfers have a very high gloss.

Sublimation Transfers: These are made from sublimation dyes (inks) that will dye synthetic materials such as polyester, when you apply heat and pressure. During the transfer process the dye turns into a gas which bonds with the synthetic fabric. Sublimation transfers can be screen or litho printed.

Litho Plastisol Transfers: A cold peel transfer whereby the first colors are printed by litho (offset) then overprinted by screen printed with a plastisol coating.

Cold Peel Transfers: A cold peel transfer will deposit all of the ink onto the garment. These transfers usually have a rubbery feel. Cold peel transfers have great opacity. They are commonly used with Superhold Powders or printable adhesive such as 841 and 842 which are covered over the plastisol to achieve great adhesion to synthetic fabrics and caps. Cold Peel transfers can also be used for foil transfers as foil adheres well to the rubbery ink film.

Flock Transfers: A cold peel transfer which gives a beautiful velvet finish. The transfer paper is supplied pre-flocked. An adhesive is screened onto flock paper and a hot melt powder is applied.

TRANSFERT 75

T-75 combines dimensional stability with a smooth easy release. This paper was developed to be smoother and more stable than parchment type paper. Transfert 75 is an ideal choice for multi-color jobs where registration and fine detail are important. However, it is not recommended for hot split plastisol transfers. It is a cold peel system only. Can be litho or screen printed.

SIZES: 11" x 13", 25" x 38"

ULTRA STRIP 2000

A coated hot peel paper which allows the screen printer to obtain complete plastisol ink release at time of transfer, yet still maintain the hot peel look. Excellent opacity when transfered onto dark garments.

SIZE: 25" x 38"

TRANSFILM

Transfilm is a release coated (1 side) clear polyester film for producing heat transfers. It can be used as either a hot or cold peel transfer and can also be litho printed for litho transfers. The release coating provides very easy release and leaves a very smooth surface on the transferred image. The clear film makes heat transfer placement and line-up very easy. Transfilm is ideal for tagless labels. Transfilm is a 75 micron thick plastic film that is much more dimensionaly stable than paper as it does not have a moisture / humidity problem.

SIZES: 19.5" x 27.5", 25" x 38". NOTE: Other sizes & rolls available. Subject to minimum orders.

G-97 TRANSFER PAPER

G-97 is high gloss release paper designed for producing glitter transfer. G-97 transfer paper can be litho printed and screen printed.

SIZES: 25" x 38"

SOFT TRANS ST88 - HOT PEEL / HOT SPLIT

This paper has been designed to be used as a hot peel (hot split) heat transfer paper, when printed with hot split plastisol inks. It combines good dimensional stability with a special sizing designed to provide an even, consistent split for hot peel inks. This special sizing also helps to increase the shelf life of the printed transfer, as it lessens migration of the plasticizer into the paper. Either side can be printed with good results.

SIZES: 12.5" x 12.5", 15" x 15", 25" x 38"
